AeroMexico will launch its 3rd route in Colombia by adding a daily direct flight connecting Mexico City International Airport and Rafael Nunez International Airport in Cartagena. The service will begin on February 20th 2025, before the start of the Cartagena Carnival.
Aeromexico has been flying to Colombia for 14 years since it inaugurated its route to Bogota and later to Medellin. With this new market, the airline will operate 70 weekly flights to Colombia between arrivals and departures, which represents an increase of 25%, and a weekly offer of 11,600 seats.
Cartagena is one of the most visited tourist destinations in Colombia, so the new route will provide an exciting new option for customers. The city was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1984 and offers more than 20 beaches to enjoy, as well as a wide variety of artistic and cultural events.
The route will be served with Boeing 737 MAX with a capacity for 166 passengers: 16 in Premier Class, 18 in AM Plus, and 132 in main cabin. Tickets will be available for sale once government approval is received.
